How to Coordinate the Materials

The following is taken from the hardback book (Evangelism Made Simple - How to DO It!). It provides a detailed account of how the material is taught. All of the answers in the student's and teacher's manual are highlighted in blue to enable you to quickly find and restudy a particular passage or point in any lesson.

I. Knowing the Facts About Jesus -- Who IS Jesus Christ?

Goals To Accomplish As You Teach This Topic:

  • Convince the student of the Deity of Jesus Christ. The student needs to see that a Divine Being came to Earth because it was the only way for us to have salvation.
  • Persuade the student that Jesus was the Creator.
  • Emphasize the Jesus is the Virgin-born Savior who died on the Cross, was raised and ascended back to Heaven. There He now reigns as the Lord and will come back on the last day for the resurrection and judgment.
  • Accentuate His being the Word, a Lawgiver, an Intercessor who pleads to the Father for His people, and man's only Mediator.

Struggles That the Student Might Have With This Topic:

  • Grasping the Deity of Christ. This truth is not understood by a great percentage of students. Rather, they see Him as being a baby.
  • Accepting the fact that Jesus created the universe!
  • Realizing the difference between an "Intercessor" and a "Mediator".
